OMG! Decided to try Dugout bc 1) the + write-up in the Sac Bee and 2) minutes away from Kaiser. Service was outstanding. You could tell folks loved their jobs, as they passed on the love. Dave got the (2" tall) Reuben with melted Swiss and super lean pastrami on marble rye...a work of art both visually and taste-wise. I got the house baked chicken breast with melted pepper jack cheese and spicy aioli on !!! Fresh baked whole wheat roll!!! Nom nom. Everyone else eating there was also rolling their eyes , sharing bites and moaning. We are kind of sandwich snobs and this "hit it out of the park!" I had leftovers that we gobbled up with soup for dinner. Now we're trying to figure out how soon we can return. They're closing this location around the end of this month, so they're forgiven for so-so decor (but clean!) and they have another just a mile away that we're ready to try. Thanks, Dugout

Dugout Deli not only has the best sandwiches. They are one of the restaurants with the best salads in the area. I usually get my yummy sandwich for my lunch before the pandemic. But I cut down my sandwich meals a lot in recent years. So, I'm coming less often to Dugout Deli after the pandemic. I ordered a Grill Chicken Salad from Dogout Deli for lunch yesterday. I didn't call to pre-order. But a delicious salad takes only a few minutes to make from scratch. It is so fresh. I can even find one single leaf that looks a little imperfect condition in my salad. It is one of the best-looking salads I have had in recent months. Of course, it tastes excellent with the Italian dressing. The restaurant has an indoor dining room and a couple of tables and chairs in front of the restaurant. The dining room and tables outside look very lovely and clean. I love to have my lunch here one day when I have time.

Wow! What a find! Had some time to kill & was hungry, so the owners at the local glass shop suggested Dugout Deli. I was greeted warmly when I walked in and had to review their large menu selection. Ended up choosing the Club House sandwich on wheat. The bread was nicely toasted, fillings were fresh & tasty. While I ate my sandwich in one of their booths, quite a few people came in for sandwiches, some to eat here, some to go. It's good to know that other people like it as much as I did.

As with all my reviews, I take seriously what type of business this is, in addition to the product. This is a small locally owned deli I've been going to for 10 years. I'm from Napa so I'm used to the best. When I moved to Sacramento I was sorrowly disappointed. Until I went here. I know the owner, he pays and treats his workers well. I've even seen him hiking in Yosemite and he remembered me. Despite unfriendly California business atmosphere this business has been able to expand to another location and for all these reasons this business is worth supporting.

Beach hut is still the best. Slam dunk. However, Loved the bread here and the sandwiches are still excellent. Manager and staff are super friendly. This is a great option for a quick sandwich!

Man, the greatest spots are found when you're not even looking, right? I was searching for some breakfast spots while running the dogs at the park and for some reason, a deli popped up. At first I was thinking it was too early for a sandwich. But then I was like, says who? Why can't I have lunch at 9:00 AM? I'm an adult. I can do what I want!! Strolled on over to this shop and the moment I open the doors, the aroma hits me in the face. Garlicky, fresh bread, meat aroma. What a delightful smell so early on a Fridee morning. I went all in and got a massive hot pastrami and avocado sandwich, on fresh baked Dutch Crunch and it was suberb! Crunchy bread, delicious pastrami, cheesy cheese and delicious garlic sauce. I probably could have scarfed down two of these (think Papas and Point Break, circa 1991) and been feeling like a champ! I love this place, and I wish I lived closer so I could eat here every week. I met the owner, Mark, and he's a super cool dude. You should head on down and support this local business and make sure he gets the love he deserves.

I was looking for a nearby sandwich deli, because my favorite deli had changed ownership and just was not the same. I stumbled upon this place and wondered why I never found it before. The food is decently priced, lots of variety and is my new favorite sandwich shop nearby my workplace. I have taken other co-workers with me and now this place will be their favorite place for delicious sandwiches for a good price. Customer service was very good and quick, as if they had been making sandwiches their whole lives. Plenty of parking also, which is very important to me when I am looking for an easy way in and out on a 30 minute lunch time. I will definitely be back.

The only thing better than the sandwiches was the service by the whole team. We ordered seven party trays for our office. It was so good that this was actually the second time this week we ordered. In our office we have someone very allergic to onions so they made all the sandwiches with cheese, lettuce, and meat. They then packed the onions and the rest of the fixings individually in containers. Finally they helped up load everything to the car. Several booths inside to sit, however it was lunch time so every seat was taken. So if you want a sub for yourself or an office lunch they will help you out with good food and great service! Oh and they have tuna as well as veggie sandwiches as well.

Dugout Delicatessen is a great local sandwich shoppe. They have friendly service, a laid back atmosphere, and most importantly, good sandwiches. I found the sandwiches to be of a good size with the bread (dutch crunch) adding a great textural element to the sandwich. The meat was piled high, and the meal came with a cookie to add a sweet ending to the meal. There are a number of sandwiches on the menu or you can just create your own. The Dugout's sandwiches are named after baseball terms. It's a fun little thing they do, and you won't be confused as the ingredients for each sandwich are clearly labeled on the menu. There are both hot sandwiches and cold sandwiches available. If you're more in the mood for a salad, the Dugout Deli has those as well. Get a side salad or a large salad with chicken or tri-tip. Overall the Dugout Deli is a solid choice and a great place for a sandwich.
